  • 4 Celery stalks
  • 2 Carrots
  • 2 Slices fresh ginger root
  • 2 teaspoons Fine sea salt *
  • 5 cups Ice water
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sesame oil


  1. Shred celery stalks.
  2. Peel and shred carrots.
  3. Shred ginger root.
  4. Dissolve salt in ice water and add vegetables.
  5. Let stand 1 hour, then drain.
  6. Transfer vegetables to a serving bowl.
  7. Add soy sauce and toss.
  8. Sprinkle with sesame oil and serve at once.
