You have just received a gift of one dozen eggs from a friend. Your friend assures you that the eggs are very fresh, but you are dubious. You decide to check their freshness by floating them in a solution and judging their buoyancy.

What would that solution be made of?
Two tablespoons of Hamburger Helper in a quart of water
Three ounces of single malt Scotch whiskey in a quart of water (what a waste!)
1/2 cup of 100% salt solution in 4 cups of water
Three tablespoons of white wine vinegar in a quart of warm (tepid) water
Wetting a paper towel with a solution of Hamburger Helper and water, then holding it suspended over your head while your friend piles the dozen eggs into the center (it helps to drink the Scotch water first!)
