At roadside stands and farmer’s markets, fresh and fragrant ripe apples are an autumn tradition in the Southern Mountains.  Come enjoy an apple feast with apples featured in each dish and learn some modern as well as traditional recipes.

  • Toasted Gorgonzola Bruschetta with Apple-Fennel Salsa…quick seasonal appetizer
  • Pork Tenderloin “Wellington”… pork Tenderloin coated with a Mushroom/Apple Duxelles and baked in puff pastry and served with Apple Hollandaise Sauce.
  • Appalachian Apple Stack Cake… revival of a venerable mountain tradition served long ago at family reunions, church suppers, and social gatherings and even as wedding cakes.

Time:  6:30-8:30pm
Cost: $50/ person

This is a demonstration class with some hands-on participation.
