Produced in eastern Sicily in the Castelventro style these deep green olives are very sweet. Excellent with an aperitif or to eat straight out of the jar as an afternoon snack.
The Castelvetrano style is a method by which the olives are allowed to soak in water and soda to soften and to bring out the natural sweetness of the Sicilian olives. These green olives are very popular with children.
