Very straight forward classic French dressing (no sugar, of course).
Items indicated with an astrisk (*) available for purchase in the Avanti Savoia store. See below to add these items to your cart.
- 1/4 cup Good quality wine vinegar or flavored vinegar *
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 teaspoon Dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt *
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper *
- 1/2-3/4 cup Good quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil *
- 2 tablespoons Each of finely chopped fresh chives and basil (optional)
- Make the dressing directly into the salad bowl that will be used to serve the salad.
- Beat together well, the vinegar, lemon juice, mustard, salt and black pepper.
- Next beat in the olive oil a little bit at a time.
- Stir in chives and basil and taste for seasoning.
