Doug's Other Honey: Early Season Raw Wild Flower Honey
Out of stock.
Direct from the beekeeper to you! In addition to being one of the partners at Avanti Savoia I'm a beekeeper and this is my honey. Pure, unfiltered raw honey from my hive to your table!
A locally produced honey with a spicy bouquet reminiscent of Tennessee wildflowers on a warm summer's evening. The color is perfectly clear light golden and the flavor is a delicate combination of floral nuances, honeycomb and the slightest touch of butterscotch.
The honey is from four counties in east Tennessee, Union Morgan, Knox, and Claiborne. The honey is predominately Tulip Poplar and sourwood but is also flavored with about 200 different varieties of wildflowers.
This honey is unfiltered, raw, 100% natural honey. The honey frames are removed from the hive and the honey is removed from the frames within 24 hours. The honey is then strained through a fine sieve to remove any excess wax and allowed to settle in stainless steel vats. After a minimum of 48 hours the honey is bottled and labeled.
