A Great Balsamic Creme
Review Date: 02/27/2009; By: Richard Mangum ( Flagstaff, AZ )
I have tried other balsamic creams. Some are syrupy and cloying. Others have an off taste, obviously based on an inferior stock. This balsamic tops them all, with the right combination of sweetness and acidity and full fruit flavor. It's handy to use and the price is right.

no less than the red stripe
Review Date: 01/04/2009; By: Rachel Smith ( Brooklyn, NY )
Sour perfectly blended with complex fruit sweetness and a remarkable lack of acidity surrounding it. Not merely tart/sweet, an undertone of caramel and pepper sees to that.

Amazing quality for reasonable price
Review Date: 12/01/2010; By: Katharine Brosnan ( Knoxville, TN )
We all know that Modena produces the world's best balsamic vinegar, and this Gold Medal is hands-down the best flavor on the market for a reasonable price. The concentrated flavor is what I always used to try to achieve by reducing cheaper vinegars, but this is soooo much better! This should be in every cook's pantry for everyday use! -
my favorite vinegar
Review Date: 01/19/2010; By: Amy Reed ( Knoxville, TN )
After my last bottle of this vinegar ran out, I tried to do the "smart" thing and buy a replacement at my local grocery store. I read all the labels and bought the one that soundest the best, at a fraction of the cost of this one. When I began using the replacement, my children complained about the dishes I used it in. "This tastes different! What's wrong?" I switched back. The comments are back to, "Mom, this is delicious!" I love this vinegar so much that I put it straight on a poached egg. -

Review Date: 05/13/2010; By: Stephen Franco ( Harrison, AR )
A bottle of Riccardo/IL Denso is my first venture beyond $10/bottle grocery store balsamic. The Riccardo is certainly in a different league than what I've used before. As you can see, I don't have much basis for a comparative review, but I will say that I and everyone who has tasted the Riccardo are amazed. I'm ruined now, no more grocery store faux-balsamic for me, It's time for the good stuff! -

Review Date: 10/30/2009; By: Brian Kuhn ( Hemingford, NE )
We first came upon this fine balsamic on a trip to Italy, purchasing two bottles at Italian Loves, a little wine and balsamic tasting shop we found in Firenze. The price was double what you find here. I was going to buy it again from Italian Loves' web site, cringing at the cost of shipping, when I decided to go to Giuseppe Giusti's web site and contact them directly to see if they had outlets here in the U.S. The marketing director pointed me here, to Avanti Savoia. Bottom line -- The Riccardo/IL Denso is superb for cooking, as well as by itself on Parmigiano-Reggiano. Get it. Heck, at this price, get two! -

OMG! I love this candy!
Review Date: 01/11/2012; By: Brenda Riley ( Buford, GA )
I am in love with these Brandy cherries. They are definitely NOT for children. The brandy has a nice kick to it, and the chocolate was very smooth. I enjoyed every single one of them, since hubby doesn't like chocolate & cherries. Poor fool! If I had a single complaint, it would be that a box of eight pieces was just not enough. The candies are beautifully wrapped and the box is very attractive. I would give this item as a gift, if I could keep my hands off them! -

Sin in a box
Review Date: 02/16/2011; Anonymous
I bought these little gems for my husband for Christmas. I thought--hey, these will be a little better than those drug store chocolate covered cherries. I was wrong. They weren't just a *little* better. I have to admit it took two--two to be totally addicted. I enjoyed the first one but it was gobbled and not savored. The brandy is delicate and not overbearing. The chocolate was rich and not too sweet. Fabulous! -
Fills your mouth with goodness!
Review Date: 01/19/2011; By: Janice Tocher ( Knoxville, TN )
I had bought this item with every good intention of giving as a Christmas gift. However, since it is now nearly a month past Christmas and it was sitting there, decided the gift was meant for me after all! I popped one of these gems in my mouth and oh... my! The combination of flavor sensations was excellent. These are not your standard Chocolate Covered Cherries and I definitely would not recommend for those under drinking age. The premium brandy is just that... premium! Of note: I taste tested the cherry about a half-hr ago and true to truly fine confections, the flavor is still dancing in my mouth - in a good way :) -

This is good as well as "good for the eyes". I've always enjoyed meals with this veg included. I'm going to try it that way with some spices added & how about marshmallows? I like applebutter as well, eating it on toast at breakfast, so I will experiment with it too. The 1st taste has a vinegary taste but haven't looked at contents yet. Thanks for teaching me about the foods I would have never known without "AvantiSovia". These are my words as I didn't read yours until I got through. -

Review Date: 03/15/2010; By: Theresa Darling ( Warren, PA )
I've eaten in a few 5 star establishments and the best salads and smoked fish dishes they serve always have several caper berries on the side. Perhaps I am one of the few folks who actually eat them (and enjoy them?). These offer all the flavor and texture of the ones I love and I can enjoy them in my own home, as well as share them with dinner guests. A few berries looked somewhat distorted, but that might have been the result of the canning process. All were perfectly tasty and textured.

As a gift, was a total hit!
Review Date: 12/19/2009; By: Sarah Eick ( Wind Gap, PA )
The package is heavy 31-lbs and if you are sending it as a gift it is packaged for safe shipping not for display. So you may want to have it shipped to you and lay it out as you would want it to be presented, if that is important to you. The box is beautiful, and the variety and amount of products makes it difficult to set up for display... which is a good problem. I purchased this as a gift to give to my aunt and uncle for the Holidays. It was a less expensive trip back to Italy for them which they absolutely loved... The comment was that I "out did myself," so thank you Avanti Savoia for making me look good! You are now a permanent bookmark! I did top off the gift with some homemade cookies and two containers of their favorite Italian espresso, Illy's, which I had to purchase elsewhere, since they don't carry it here. Perhaps in Italy illy's is like what Folgers is to Americans. Even if that is the case... it still beats any espresso I've had thus far in the states. The package left a great lasting impression, and I look forward to hearing the reviews on its contents!

To Die For Organic Acacia Honey
Review Date: 03/08/2009; By: Kellie Laporte ( Wolcott, CT )
This is unlike any honey I've ever tasted. It's beyond ordianary honey. I never knew honey could be so good. I make everyone try it. This is a must buy. The only thing I don't like is the bottle because it is so tall, and the cover is a cork that you have to pull out to open. It gets tough since there is honey on it. I would prefer a smaller bottle that has a normal top that is attached and just snaps shut.

Fabulous! -

I like applebutter as well, eating it on toast at breakfast, so I will experiment with it too. The 1st taste has a vinegary taste but haven't looked at contents yet. Not a maple syrup fan but....
Review Date: 05/03/2009; By: Alicia Travis ( Everett, WA )
Ms. Bu*****th put me off maple long ago. My mother always said, "back when I was a little girl syrup was different, it tasted better." Although I wasn't fond of cleaning the wax off the stpper, I was impressed with the contents. This maple syrup has a light pleasant maple taste and sweetness that doesn't bombard the mouth. I could enjoy a flavorful breakfast without the fearing the synthetic backlash and the impending typical maple syrup sugar rush.

These are as good as the recipe I had from "Better Homes & Gardens" that was destroyed by fire of my daughters house. Bill & I have really enjoyed the home taste of them, yum! Here in FL we have to beware of bugs in this, flour, cornmeal so what I haven't used yet I keep in my freezer. Bay leafs are also good for "no bugs". Honestly I expected the bottle to be bigger based on cost. Regardless of price you won't find another oil like this. After I ordered the first bottle and tried it, I went back online and ran them out of stock for very good reason - this oil is amazing. I try to use it sparingly but it always calls out "you know I am the best just use me"....when they say EVERYONE should have this in their kitchen that is not a sales pitch! It is the satisfied belly truth. -

Review Date: 01/04/2009; Anonymous
Geraci extra virgin olive oil has a buttery, grassy/arugula flavor with a slight pine nut bitterness and subtle fruitiness. It's still complex but a lot less bitter than other olive oils. It's great on bread, with cheese, and with raw foods. Cooking would probably destroy it's delicate taste.

Until we started using *real* Italian pasta, we didn't know what we were missing!

Exceeds Expectations
Review Date: 03/18/2011; By: Richard Noble ( Quincy, WA )
Garofalo Spaghettini is an excellent choice. The flavor is very good, and the texture allows the noodle to hold sauce exceptionally well. Prior to cooking, if you run your fingers down it, this noodle is slightly rough - like fine sandpaper. This allows it to hold sauce better than many of its competitors.

After reading about the health benefits, I decided to try it. I thought it was delicious in flavor, stong flavor and the 'after' flavor was even better. It took a minute for my taste to adjust. I encourage everyone to try it, and be open to the difference.

My hubby and I weren't sure what we were going to get, but we are adventuresome. Very pleased! Great flavor (unique, not too strong) and texture. Cooking instructions were not clear. So we used standard 1 cup rice to 2 cup water and it worked well.Looking forward to finishing the rice with a good grill-cooked veggie dinner soon!
