Polenta, a staple of Northern Italy, is made from corn. This is a "quick cook" polenta, medium grained, 100% natural, stone ground cornmeal.
Polenta, a staple of Northern Italy, is made from corn. This is a "quick cook" polenta, medium grained, 100% natural, stone ground cornmeal.
To add flavor, Polenta is sometimes mixed or topped with cheese such as parmesan or gorgonzola, sauces, meat, sun-dried tomatoes.
Preparation:
Use 4 cups water to 1 cup Polenta. Boil salted water in a large saucepan. Slowly pour in the Polenta stirring continuously with a wooden spoon to avoid lumps. Cook for 5-8 minutes. Season as desired.
