Cinnamon (Ground)
This is the real deal! Essential in fruit deserts, custards, chocolate, hot cocoas...chicken, lamb, rice...
Cinnamon is a beloved spice around the globe. Made from the bark of a small evergreen tree, this is real "Cinnamomum zeylanicum" and not the "Cassia" labeled as cinnamon found at many grocery stores.
It is an essential ingredient in fruit desserts, custards, chocolate, hot cocoas, stuffing, and many chicken, lamb, and rice dishes.
These natural, thin - layered cinnamon sticks can easily be made into powder using a coffee or spice grinder.
2oz jar, Imported.

You can taste the difference!July 12, 2011

OK - here's an experiment... take a can of the cinnamon you get at the store and a bottle of this *real* cinnamon. Taste test them side by side and you'll never use anything other than real cinnamon in your cooking/baking again. Avanti's spices are always fresh and always excellent.

You REALLY must try this! This is so different than the cinnamon you buy at the store. It's the real thing, were the cinnamon you buy at the store isn't really cinnamon at all. Most cinnamon sold in the US is actually a cousin of cinnamon called Cassia:
