Ginger Cream Sauce

Definitely rich and redolent of ginger, very good with roast pork.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 tablespoons Green onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger, minced
  • 1 cup Dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup Chicken stock
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste *

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan until it foams.
  2. Add onion and ginger and stir over medium heat for about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in wine and stock and bring to a boil.
  4. Continue cooking until the liquid becomes syrupy.
  5. Add the cup of cream and bring back to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to simmer and continue cooking until the sauce begins to thicken.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
