Zuma Jones' Pecan Pie

The absolutely most basic, simple and authentic "State Dessert" of Texas.  Feel free to serve it with a big scoop of Vanilla ice cream. 

Ingredients

Items indicated with an astrisk (*) available for purchase in the Avanti Savoia store.

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Corn syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Broken pecan pieces
  • 1 Unbaked 9 or 10 inch pie shell

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Slightly beat eggs and stir in all other ingredients.
  3. When mixture is blended, pour into unbaked pie shell and bake about 1 hour at 300 degrees.
