This squid ink pasta is handcrafted using a bronze mold which leaves a rough surface to hold sauce much better than stainless steel molds used in the U.S.
The "Linguine al nero di sepia" is best combined with any type of seafood sauce, such as clam sauce, mussel sauce, or octopus.
It is recommended to not use a tomato sauce. However, you may add fresh tomatoes uncooked and fresh ground black pepper to the sauce before serving.

The best I have had. We made this with garlic, red pepper, olive oil and added pesto, shrimp and scallops. YUM!

We tried this with the clam recipe that Avanti provides on the site. The pairing was just amazing and if you close your eyes you almost feel like you are on the beach. Oh, and FYI make sure you let your clams de-sand themselves long enough otherwise you will get the displeasure of tasting the beach as well.

Such a unique pasta that not only makes for a stunning presentation due to is rich black color, but the flavor of the sea really comes out. Great matched with shrimp, tuna, or any seafood of choice.
