    2. A Great Balsamic Creme5 stars
Review Date: 02/27/2009; By: Richard Mangum ( Flagstaff, AZ )
I have tried other balsamic creams. Some are syrupy and cloying. Others have an off taste, obviously based on an inferior stock. This balsamic tops them all, with the right combination of sweetness and acidity and full fruit flavor. It's handy to use and the price is right.

Sour perfectly blended with complex fruit sweetness and a remarkable lack of acidity surrounding it. Not merely tart/sweet, an undertone of caramel and pepper sees to that.

    1. my favorite vinegar5 stars
Review Date: 01/19/2010; By: Amy Reed ( Knoxville, TN )
After my last bottle of this vinegar ran out, I tried to do the "smart" thing and buy a replacement at my local grocery store. I read all the labels and bought the one that soundest the best, at a fraction of the cost of this one. When I began using the replacement, my children complained about the dishes I used it in. "This tastes different! What's wrong?" I switched back. The comments are back to, "Mom, this is delicious!" I love this vinegar so much that I put it straight on a poached egg.

    1. Now for the good stuff.5 stars
Review Date: 05/13/2010; By: Stephen Franco ( Harrison, AR )
A bottle of Riccardo/IL Denso is my first venture beyond $10/bottle grocery store balsamic. The Riccardo is certainly in a different league than what I've used before. As you can see, I don't have much basis for a comparative review, but I will say that I and everyone who has tasted the Riccardo are amazed. I'm ruined now, no more grocery store faux-balsamic for me, It's time for the good stuff!

Review Date: 10/30/2009; By: Brian Kuhn ( Hemingford, NE )
We first came upon this fine balsamic on a trip to Italy, purchasing two bottles at Italian Loves, a little wine and balsamic tasting shop we found in Firenze. The price was double what you find here. I was going to buy it again from Italian Loves' web site, cringing at the cost of shipping, when I decided to go to Giuseppe Giusti's web site and contact them directly to see if they had outlets here in the U.S. The marketing director pointed me here, to Avanti Savoia. Bottom line -- The Riccardo/IL Denso is superb for cooking, as well as by itself on Parmigiano-Reggiano. Get it. Heck, at this price, get two!

    4. Saporoso Condimento 5 stars
Review Date: 01/31/2009; By: Katherine R Sheridan ( Albuquerque, NM )
We first tasted this condimento in the central market in Florence,Italy when we rented an apartment there for a few weeks. It was among several balsamic vinegers that we tasted and purchased. This is the one we selected to use while we were living there and cooking for ourselves and our friends. We loved it. And it was affordable! We brought some back and of course the sad inevitable day of running out came and went. I decided to google the product name and found Avanti Savoia! What a delight it has been to do business with this company! I feel like I know them as friends! The service is so personal and rewarding. We order four bottles at a time and enjoy this condiment pared with a high quality olive oil on our salads year round. But oh, when summer rolls around and I can get baby lettuce from the grower's market nearby I am transported back to Florence! Thank you so much, Katy Sheridan Albuquerque, NM

Unfortunately, even with all you did to insure these arrive unbroken, they arrived in pieces. Very good product, but doubtful we will order them again. Thank you for taking such care in your packaging. It's greatly appreciated.

This is the adult crunch bar. It is decadent dark chocolate with cacao nibs in it, and has that not too sweet, but not bitter either, taste that I love. The cacao nibs add flavor and crunch that is definitely grown up compared to rice krispy type. Five stars all the way!

    1. An interesting flavor...5 stars
Review Date: 02/16/2009; By: Janice Tocher ( Knoxville, TN )
OK - at *first* I was not overjoyed with this bar. I had become accustomed to the Olivier chocolate flavor and texture. Then, after the 2nd or 3rd morsel, my goodness - I realized why Avanti Savoia added this bar to their chocolate collection! A complex flavor sensation in each bite - chocolate flavor followed by mango with a bit of heat on the edges of the tongue. NOTE: unless you like spicy food (which I do!), try a different Hachez chocolate. Looking forward to trying more of the Hachez chocolate line after this first trial!!

Review Date: 03/08/2009; By: Kellie Laporte ( Wolcott, CT )
This is unlike any honey I've ever tasted. It's beyond ordianary honey. I never knew honey could be so good. I make everyone try it. This is a must buy. The only thing I don't like is the bottle because it is so tall, and the cover is a cork that you have to pull out to open. It gets tough since there is honey on it. I would prefer a smaller bottle that has a normal top that is attached and just snaps shut.

This is such a delicious honey and the edible honeycomb gives this treat a wonderful texture and uniqueness. It truly is like eating candy.

Ms. Bu*****th put me off maple long ago. My mother always said, "back when I was a little girl syrup was different, it tasted better." Although I wasn't fond of cleaning the wax off the stpper, I was impressed with the contents. This maple syrup has a light pleasant maple taste and sweetness that doesn't bombard the mouth. I could enjoy a flavorful breakfast without the fearing the synthetic backlash and the impending typical maple syrup sugar rush.

Honestly I expected the bottle to be bigger based on cost. Regardless of price you won't find another oil like this. After I ordered the first bottle and tried it, I went back online and ran them out of stock for very good reason - this oil is amazing. I try to use it sparingly but it always calls out "you know I am the best just use me"....when they say EVERYONE should have this in their kitchen that is not a sales pitch! It is the satisfied belly truth.

Geraci extra virgin olive oil has a buttery, grassy/arugula flavor with a slight pine nut bitterness and subtle fruitiness. It's still complex but a lot less bitter than other olive oils. It's great on bread, with cheese, and with raw foods. Cooking would probably destroy it's delicate taste.

Most cinnamon sold in the US is actually a cousin of cinnamon called Cassia: Thanks, Avanti Savoia, for making this unique product available here in the U.S.

Also, it's a great addition when making homemade bbq sauce. NOTE: a little goes a long way! start with a pinch and if the flavor is not what you want, then add more.

The salted cabbage was terrific and so is the salad dressing I made with it. Very pleased with this lighter than balsamic but equally tasty vinegar.
